Everclear at August Hall played to a sold-out house and a very happy crowd. Opening bands were Jimmies Chicken Shack and Marcy Playground. Of course, they played Sex and Candy and quite happy that the crowd sang along perhaps even louder than the band.
Everclear came on to house full of applause. They didn’t make us wait long for all the favorites either. This was my first time seeing them. For whatever the reasons, I never did when they made the rounds in the 90s. But I sure felt like I was in my 20s again and it was summer, sunny and I was with friends.
I’m so thankful that bands from “the past” still tour. They not just give us the opportunity to see them but also seeing them doing what they love is just the best. We may age but it doesn’t mean we lose talent, passion or love of what we do. Everclear at August Hall is the proof of that.
