Dogpark finished up their Breaking in America Tour tonight in Philidelphia, but this past Friday, they took the stage in Boston and left the crowd beginning for more. This up-and-coming indie rock band embodies an authenticity and love for the craft that is clear as day when they’re on stage. The fun they’re having on stage exudes to the crowd, and it feels like the whole room is one big party. The band, comprised of Eamon, Chris, Harf, Billy, and Declan, is fresh off the release of their newest single, “Storefront Cabana”, with even more originals on the way. Their show was an engaging combination of originals, unreleased songs, and covers such as The Rolling Stones hit “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”
Dogpark’s rapid growth is highlighted by the fact that they had to upgrade the venue from The Rockwell to The Crystal Ballroom due to high demand. Even then, fans lined the street outside the venue, hoping to be able to get same-day tickets. I remember Dogpark coming up on my TikTok For You Page early this summer, specifically the video of them performing their first single “Now It’s Over” at East Iris Studio in Nashville. I sent the video to all my friends, promising them that this band would blow up and feeling so fortunate that I can begin my journey as a fan of theirs now. The band’s energy struck me and left me wanting to binge-listen too their entire discography. Although that discography is only an EP and two singles, myself and other fans are eager for what’s to come. I’m truly so excited to watch this band take off, and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them.
