The San Diego indie pop trio artist Almost Monday headlined at Brick & Mortar Music Hall Friday night. The band includes members Dawson Daugherty (vocals), Cole Clisby (guitar), and Luke Fabry (bass) who met while in high school in San Diego’s North County area. The band’s debut studio album, Dive, was released on September 25, 2024.
Almost Monday put on a high octane performance. The lead singer Dawson Daugherty commanded the stage with a lot of energy and playful attitude. The audience was also full of energy, dancing and singing to every song. Almost Monday music is fun band to listen to. You just want to start dancing. Two of my favorite performances of the night were “Can’t Slow Down’ and “Only Wanna Dance”. “Can’t Slow Down” blends musical elements of Tame Impala, Foster the People and Phoenix into a catchy pop dance mix; and “Only Wanna Dance” had a Strokes/Drums type vibe that makes you tap your toes. Seeing Almost Monday is perform live is definitely worth the price of admission.

Adrian Lyles is a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actor. He is signed to Hollywood Records, and stars as Jet on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Adrian Lyles was a great opener for Almost Monday. Adrian’s music and energy was good appetizer to start the night.
