Goldie’s legendary breakbeat project, Rufige Kru, returns with a brand-new album, Alpha Omega, set for release on May 16 via London Records. A reinvention of the Rufige sound, the album is a collaboration between Goldie and SubMotive (James Davidson), blending Goldie’s signature dancefloor instincts with SubMotive’s technical expertise. The first single, “Still The Same” featuring CASISDEAD, offers a rare collaboration with the UK rap artist, marking his first venture into drum’n’bass. Accompanied by a visually striking video directed by Elliott Gonzo, the track brings together grime and DnB in a futuristic, dystopian setting—an electrifying preview of what’s to come.

For Goldie, Alpha Omega is both a return to the roots of drum’n’bass and a step into its future. From Rufige Kru’s 1992 classic “Darkrider” to the iconic “Beachdrifta”, Goldie has consistently pushed boundaries, and this album is no exception. “I wanted to create something that absolutely represents what this music is all about…and where it’s going next,” he explains. With live shows lined up across the world, including a stop at SF’s Regency Ballroom on April 15th, Goldie continues to set the agenda for breakbeat culture. Alpha Omega is poised to be a landmark release, reaffirming Goldie’s position as a visionary in electronic music.
