San Francisco’s Stern Grove Festival is returning for its 88th season, promising an extraordinary lineup of performances. Nestled amidst the majestic redwoods and eucalyptus trees, the festival takes place every Sunday from June 15 to August 17, 2025.
This year’s lineup is spectacular. Diana Ross heads the final show, delivering her iconic soul and captivating stage presence. The series also features Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Stephen Marley, Sleater-Kinney, Girl Talk and Chromeo, Phantogram, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Orville Peck, and the ever-legendary The Pointer Sisters. Stern Grove is rolling out a new ticketing system this year. In the past, festivalgoers have faced the frustration of logging on at the same time, only to see tickets sell out within minutes. To solve this problem and stay true to its mission of offering free concerts, the festival is introducing a lottery system for each show. In addition, Community Box Offices will be set up at key locations around the city to make the ticketing process more accessible. Other ways to secure tickets include volunteering, or for those seeking to enhance their Stern Grove experience, VIP tables and reserved group picnic seating are available for a donation that contributes to the festival’s ongoing mission.
