K.Flay ended her Mono tour with three shows in San Francisco. K.Flay performed twice at The Independent and completed the trifecta at the Rickshaw Stop, one of the smaller and more intimate venues in the city, and intimate the show was. K.Flay has a very loyal following over her 14 year recording career. I met many people who attended all three shows, one fan traveling as far as Mexico.
Opening the show was Toronto artist, Cam Kahin, named as one of five Canadian acts shaping rock in 2022. Cam has a unique Indie sound that separates him from the mainstream and his energetic and lively performance proofed it. This was the first time I had heard and seen Cam Kahin perform and I’m now a fan.
K.Flay’s performance focused largely around from her latest album “Mono,” which delves into her into her recent hearing lost experience. This was my 3rd time seeing K.Flay and each time I see her reaffirms why I love seeing her shows. She commands the stage with her thumping and infectious energy that possess the audience into a dancing and singing frenzy. If you have not had the pleasure of seeing K.Flay live, I strongly encourage you not to miss out on the opportunity next time she’s in town.
