Starcrawler’s show at The Chapel in San Francisco was an electrifying spectacle that left the audience buzzing with exhilaration; a fitting show to end their 2024 West Coast run. The band’s signature blend of gritty rock and punk energy resonated through the historic venue, captivating fans from the first note to the last. The intimate setting of The Chapel amplified the raw power of their performance, making each riff and beat feel even more intense. The crowd was a diverse mix of die-hard followers and curious newcomers, all united by the infectious energy radiating from the stage. The sound was crisp and powerful, perfectly complementing the band’s dynamic presence.
Frontwoman Arrow De Wilde was the undeniable star of the evening, delivering a performance that was as much about visual theatrics as it was about vocal prowess. Her animated stage presence was nothing short of mesmerizing—she prowled the stage with a fierce intensity, her wild antics and dramatic gestures adding a visceral layer to the music. De Wilde’s charisma was magnetic, drawing the audience into the chaotic world she created with each movement and expression. Her theatrical flair, combined with the band’s tight musicianship, transformed the concert into an unforgettable experience that felt more like a high-octane rock opera than a standard live show.
Lo-Fi punk faves, Niis (pronounced “Nice”), took the stage just before Starcrawler with a phenomenal set that definitely left us wanting more. Oakland rockers The Vaxxines kicked off the night right with their brand of punk.
