I’m a believer!
Deep in the Santa Cruz Mountains, nestled amongst the redwoods, is Felton Music Hall. On this Friday night, we were hoping to catch a glimpse of the famed Saxsquatch. Hold your breath and listen carefully, for in those quiet moments you may hear a whisper… a careless whisper… ringing out through the night air.
A sold-out Felton Music Hall not only caught a glimpse, but also heard the iconic saxophone sounds of George Michael’s Careless Whisper and Saxsquatch originals. The crowd came ready to rave – some stage-side with sunglasses–others engaging with glow sticks, light lamps, and inflated saxophones.
The show was a non-stop mix of originals like “Swamp Wise”, “Footprints”, and “Never Stop Believing” blended with well-known dance tracks like “Get Lucky” and “The Star Wars Cantina Song”.
Near the end of the show, Saxsquatch took to the crowd to be amongst his believers, who surrounded him with lights and iPhones. There may have been skeptics before the show, but by the end of the night, we were all believers.
As Saxsquatch hits the road to San Francisco and the Pacific Northwest, it’s somehow comforting to know wherever he is, he will be Squatching us.
