Bully, founded and led by singer/songwriter Alicia Bognanno, played at The Independent in San Francisco this week. This alternative rock, indie rock band opened for The Pixies and Franz Ferdinand this year. She recently released a new album, Lucky For You. She’s touring the country this year and ending in London in November.
Opening for Bully was Bev Rage & The Drinks from Chicago. It was a great way to start and they kept the crowd enthralled and ready for Bully‘s performance. From their website, “loud, fast, and brash queer garage-pop band from Chicago.” You cannot miss 7-foot-tall Beverly Rage in a neon yellow bouffant and their music totally holds up.
