Depeche Mode celebrated their 15th studio album, Memento Mori, with the announcement of one of their largest tours to date. We were lucky enough to catch them at their recent stop at the Chase Center in San Francisco and it was incredible. The iconic synth-pop pioneers, known for their dark and atmospheric sound, delivered a performance that was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment the first notes of “My Cosmos is Mine” echoed through the venue, the crowd was entranced, swaying to the hypnotic melodies that have defined Depeche Mode’s legacy.
Frontman Dave Gahan’s charismatic stage presence and powerful vocals were a highlight, as he effortlessly commanded the audience’s attention, moving with a magnetic energy that added an extra layer of intensity to the performance. The band’s setlist was a carefully curated journey through their extensive discography, seamlessly blending classic hits like “Enjoy the Silence” and “Policy of Truth” with newer tracks that showcased their continued evolution as musicians. The concert was a celebration of Depeche Mode’s enduring influence on the electronic music scene, leaving fans both nostalgic for the past and excited for the future of this legendary band.
The US leg of the tour wraps up in LA in a couple of weeks. For tickets and info, head to www.depechemode.com
