A L’Imperatrice concert is a high energy, stylish, feel-good, disco and funk groove show with a lot of French chic. Winding down their enormous European and American grand tour, their new lead singer – Maud Ferron (AKA Louve) brought Bay Area audiences on a two night journey in Oakland’s beautiful Fox Theater.
Kicking off the evening was their mega-hit “Amour Ex Machina” from 2024’s LP Pulsar and the groove never slowed, with the band getting into a setlist that included songs from all 3 of their albums – Matahari (2018), Tako Tsubo (2021) and Pulsar (2024).
One of the highlights of the evening was when Rapper and the perfect show opener, Erick the Architect (Erick Elliott) joined the band on stage for “Sweet and Sublime” from their most recent album Pulsar.
