Tegan and Sara launched the 87th Season of the Stern Grove Festival with a lively and dynamic performance. The grove, adorned with Pride flags and rainbow colors, created a festive atmosphere ahead of next weekend’s SF Pride celebrations.

The duo began their set with “Living Room” and thrilled the audience with hits like “Back in Your Head” and “Boyfriend.” They wrapped up the show with the popular “Closer” and an acoustic version of “Not Tonight.”

Stern Grove, a favorite spot for family outings, was especially meaningful with the sisters’ mother in attendance. The breathtaking natural surroundings, encircled by towering Redwoods and filled to capacity, made a strong impression on the Canadian duo.

The concert also featured Oakland’s King Isis, who brought a taste of Bay Area flair and noted it was her largest show to date, with more to come, surely. DJ LadyRyan kept the energy high, spinning tunes and keeping the crowd moving between sets.
