American Football is an American indie rock band from Urbana, Illinois. The band is comprised of Mike Kinsella (lead vocals, guitar), Steve Holmes (guitar), Steve Lamos (drums, percussion, trumpet) and Nate Kinsella (bass guitar, backing vocals), Mike’s cousin. American Football originally formed in 1997 and was active to 2000. They later reformed in 2014. American Football current tour is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album in 1999.
American Football played to a sold out crowd at The Great American Music Hall for the first of two shows in San Francisco. The audience was a nice mixture of young and old generations. American Football’s sound doesn’t fit neatly into any genre. They have an emo jam band type of sensibility on the indie spectrum. The band also incorporates uncommon time signatures which makes their sound unique and distinctive.

Yeemz is a cellist, singer-songwriter, and composer from Santa Monica, California. She is currently classical cellist in-residence at the New England Conservatory. Yeemz orchestrates her original songs with her own cello playing and draws songwriting inspiration from literature, indie-folk influences, and classical music alike.
Yeemz’s music is fun and playful. For a one woman act, she certainly owned the stage with her audience engagement and music.
