Before the show, I met a guy in the audience, Pedro from Portugal, who studied art in London with members of Dry Cleaning. He told me a fascinating story about the band.
Before they were Dry Cleaning, they worked really hard to find “success” in various incarnations of other bands. Only after deciding to put that aside and just have fun as “Dry Cleaning” did success come to them.
Dry Cleaning has been selling out venues all over the US and Europe and they’re having fun doing it. The lesson is obvious, and it showed in their amazing performance at August Hall.
